My Go-Box

This project pretty much reignited my passion for the hobby! Ive been an operator since May of 2020 and since then I have slowly fallen out of touch with the hobby and slowly lost interest. Then I moved back in with my parents after my marriage fell apart and asked them for permission to put up an antenna. They agreed as long as I took care of all the maintenance and they basically never looked at it. I agreed and put up the antenna. I wasn’t getting very good reception so I sort of just took the antenna down and forgot about it.
Then I met someone new and she told me that I needed to find a hobby. Something that could keep me entertained on days that I was off and she was at work or during times that we could not spend together. I asked her for permission to build this box and she agreed. Since then I have been going to all my local Amateur radio club meetings and designed this website, and I couldn’t be happier!
There is my backstory for this box. Now going forward, There will be updates on progress and other items of interest!
I purchased a 6U gator case off amazon and a Pyle Power Bar to power the case. After that, then came the shelves. I installed everything and snapped this picture for the current state.
UPDATE 2/8/2024
Its been a little while! I have been hard at work finishing this box! But I am excited to announce that the box is complete! It is ready to deploy in the field, and I have the perfect spot to go and deploy it.
